my new year bash_06
On 31st morning I was happy for two things, firstly I got up at 6:20am and secondly I was going to celebrate our new year on a Alibaugh beach. I hurriedly packed up my things that I intented to take along with me. While driving to my pick-up point as usual i remembered that I have forgot most of the things. We all 6 friends, started from kothrud around 9am.
In no time we touched Express Highway, we were travelling in luxurious cherolet Travera, and driver was swinging between 100-110kmph. We were just getting charged up for the upcoming two days of fun, that we wanted to live like two years. I wanted to remember all the moments that I was going to enjoy. We had LCD screen in our car, so we enjoyed good music while travelling.
We reached Alibaugh around 1pm. And then our next hurdle was to find accomodation. We were told that all possible places of accomodation have been booked, and there is 101% chances that we wont get any accomadation in 50km radius. We were getting depressed by the every moemnt, as the very thought of taking sleep in cold night, was sending shivers under the spine. But, then we did manage to get a makeshift accomadation and we were happy that we got atleast something. Our stomach muscles were having tough fight with digestive enzimes, so we had a typical 'kokani lunch', which was pretty decent.
Then we started our site seeing extravenga. We saw Alibaugh Fort, for that we walked a mile on the beach, that was good really good. Then we took pictures in famous DCH poses in the fort. Fort also had a huge canon, that was Yorkshir (England) made, for the first time i saw Brithish canon.
After getting tired in the fort, we started towards Kihim beach where we planed to celebrate our new year. As the sun was setting for the last day of 05, people was also pouring onto the beach. The breeze was driving me crazy, as i love beaches (may be it has to something with me being a Piscian). We played dodge ball for sometime and had a nice stroll along the beach side.
The revelers, started their boisterous merrymaking. We were enjoying the warmth of the bonfire that we set. The cool sea breeze was driving us crazy. I wished my friends and made few good new year resolutions. After 1am we decided to return to our hotel room.
Next morning we started heading towards Murud-Jaljira. Way towards the murud-jaljira was just an awesome view. An odd 30-40 km stretch on the seashore. I could feel the sea breeze, blowing through my hairs......the feeling of merry making was just great. We then visited the awe-inspiring murud-jaljira fort which was built on an island. It was a huge and technically well build fort ever seen by me. We also ferried 'Swades-like' sail boat to reach the fort. By the time we took our lunch it was 5pm.
We then started for kashid beach, for playing water games. We wanted to see sunset on the beach but by the we reached, sun was already set. We played football on the white sand beach of kashid. Then we headed towards the endless sea. The water was dusky-red, tides started hitting the shores more frequently as time for high tide was approaching fast, but that did not hamper our spirits for venturing in the water games. We just started to have fun, but beach police started pulling people out of the beach...... but we kept on playing in the water. Waves were rising higher and higher, so we decided to leave the beach. On the horizon i could see the lonely crescent moon with a venus. And we then headed towards our destination - Pune.
